Buyer Consultation
The Buyer Consultation is the first step of the home buying process. You'll meet with me and my team so we can learn more about what you're looking for in your next home and we'll help to set expectations. We'll walk you through the home buying process (if you've purchased before, it'll be a great refresher), talk about your timing, and answer any questions you have.


Financing
One of the most important aspects of purchasing a home is the financing. Getting pre-approved for a loan is necessary in order to begin your home search. Knowing how much buying power you have helps to set expectations on the what (home vs. condo) and the where of your home purchase. If you don't have a lender in mind, we're more than happy to offer recommendations of excellent local lenders that will get you pre-approved.

Search
Armed with your pre-approval letter, you're officially ready to begin house hunting. Thanks to the questionnaire we've completed during the Buyer's Consult, we'll immediately be able to narrow the search and start your home search by scheduling and going on home tours.

Find an Agent You Can Trust
There are many factors to finding the right agent. The best agent for you is an experienced real estate professional who will take the time to listen to you and understand what you're looking for in a home. You'll want to hire an agent that is intimately familiar with the market and trends, and will be able to guide you through the home buying process confidently.
Find a lender
It is imperative that you find a mortgage lender that you trust, given the financial information you'll be sharing. This lender will need to be highly responsive because your ability to purchase a home lands squarely on the abilities of your lender and agent working in conjunction with one another. Equally important is that the lender you choose should be local - this allows for a better understanding of local customs and contract terms. We are happy to make local lender recommendations upon your request.
FIND THE NEIGHBORHOODS YOU’D LIKE TO LIVE IN
Many buyers consider neighborhoods based on things like walkability or schools or proximity to work. Whatever your reasons, be sure to convey them to the agent you hire when you begin your home search. Your buying power (identified by your loan pre-approval) will dictate where you'll be house hunting, so be sure to have several neighborhoods in mind.

Looking for homes
This is the fun part! We put together a series of thorough Buyer Tour packages customized to your needs, wants and areas of interest. You may find "the one" on the first tour, or it may take 10 - everybody is different and every "no" gets us closer to home.
