Real Estate may be my passion, but art is my true love. There is something profoundly personal about the way a piece of art transforms a space, turning four walls into a sanctuary that reflects your soul. If you’ve been waiting for the perfect moment to find that statement piece for your living room or simply want to soak in global culture right here in our backyard, this week is for you.

The City’s Most Anticipated Cultural Event Returns

Starting tomorrow, the LA Art Show returns to the Los Angeles Convention Center for its 31st edition. This isn’t just a gallery walk; it is the most comprehensive international contemporary art show in America. For 2026, the show is leaning heavily into its global identity, featuring over 100 exhibitors from more than 23 countries. Whether you are a seasoned collector or just love the energy of a creative crowd, the sheer scale of this event is inspiring.

This Year’s Must-See Highlights

What I love about this year’s lineup is the diversity of voices. The show is debuting a brand-new Latin American Pavilion, curated by Marisa Caichiolo, which promises to be a stunning exploration of memory and identity.

Here is what else is on my radar for the week:

  • Sylvester Stallone’s Solo Exhibition: Yes, that Sylvester Stallone. Provident Fine Art is presenting a rare collection of his abstract paintings.
  • DIVERSEartLA: This non-commercial platform is back with a focus on “The Biennials and Art Institutions,” offering immersive experiences that challenge how we see the world.
  • Global Debuts: Look out for the show’s first-ever exhibitors from Ireland (Oliver Sears Gallery) and a strong new presence from the UK and Poland.
  • Opening Night Premiere: If you are attending the opening night party tomorrow (Wednesday, Jan 7), you are also supporting a great cause—the American Heart Association’s Life is Why campaign.

Finding the Perfect Wall

As we wander through the exhibits, it is impossible not to imagine where these pieces would live. A vibrant abstract can energize a modern condo in Santa Monica, while a moody portrait might ground a traditional study in Hancock Park. Art and architecture are deeply connected; one always elevates the other.

Conclusion

If you head downtown this week, I would love to hear which pieces resonated with you. And if you find yourself falling in love with a piece that is just a little too big for your current walls, well, you know who to call.
